THE FAIRPORT BREAKFAST GROUP
 Cropredy Playgroup and School have been holding this annual fundraising event for more than 20 years!
The group was originally set up by parents and teachers to raise much needed funds for the Playgroup and School.
Every year, volunteers serve breakfast to around 3,000 festival goers during Fairport’s Cropredy Convention (a music festival that takes place every August in Cropredy village), and we raise significant funds for our school.
Over the years, the money raised has helped to fund the school’s swimming pool and foundation unit as well as providing many resources, school trips and many treats for the children.
Profits from the 2010 breakfasts have helped to fund a new 'Outdoor Learning Zone' for the key stage 1 children.
More recently, profits from the 2011 breakfasts have paid for much needed Interactive Whiteboards for use in the classrooms.
Each year we donate a percentage of our profits to a charitable cause. This year the school children chose BARKS (Banbury Animal Rescue and Kindness Service). Sue Gunn (Chair of the charity) visited the school to talk about the charity and was thrilled to receive a cheque for £560.00. Click here to read the thank you letter.
During the weekend of the festival, we rely heavily on parent and teacher volunteers. If you would like to be involved in what is a very rewarding and good fun fundraising event, please speak to one of the Fairport Breakfast Committee members: -
