Building update

March 11
Grand Opening of newly refurbished school

On Wednesday 30th March pupils celebrated the official opening of the newly refurbished school building. The work has made a huge difference to the school. We now have a new reception and main office area, a new library, new staff room and three bigger and brighter KS2 classrooms. The Bishop of Dorchester was one of the guests of honour and blessed our revamped school. Pupils performed songs which had been written by the teachers including, "Chris the builder" and "Our school". We are very proud of our new look school and grateful to all the people involved in making it possible.

February 11
There was great excitement on Monday morning as we saw the Portakabins lifted through the air and removed from our school grounds. We are gradually regaining our playground and able to see that the end of the project is in sight! s. We are organising a "grand opening" to celebrate the completion of the building works on March 30th. Details will be sent out closer to the event.

January 11
Building work continues to progress well. Yr 5 & 6 pupils are pleased to be in their new classrooms. The next stage is to complete a new library area and the Yr 4 classroom. This is all due to be completed by the middle of January. Work will then be concentrated on the new admin area and staff room. Staff and pupils are looking forward to the project being completed!
